We had a wonderfully emotional time watching and discussing The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.
This film is an inspirational true story of William Kamkwamba, a boy from Malawi who built a wind turbine to help his town gain power and running water. His town was in the middle of a drought, leaving his family hungry and desperate for a solution. The young boy, who was fascinated by science and engineering, took scrap metal, tractor parts and a bicycle to build a wind turbine, essentially changing the lives of the people around him.
